The Treatment Program

What You can Expect From the  Rehabilitation Program:

We approach all aspects of recovery through Holistic Healing, the 12 Steps to Recovery and the 12 Traditions. Our rehabilitation programs are for anyone that has a sincere desire in being free from alcohol and /or drugs.

You will learn new techniques and strategies to enjoy and embrace daily life. You will have support and guidance from your assigned Addictions Counsellor to find triggers, dealing with loss and past traumas, minimizing contributing factors to your addiction, support connecting with other Alberta Programs and/or treatment centres and with figuring out where you go after you graduate from our Programs.

42-Day Program
– This is an adult Co-Ed Residential Addiction Treatment Centre and is based on the AA philosophies while embracing the First Nations and Metis Culture. You will begin your treatment with a 1-week pre-treatment program and then will move into a 5-week recovery treatment program. This is when you will attend daily sessions.

2-Week Follow-Up Program
– You can come back to BIMRC for our 2-week follow-up program after 3 months from graduating our 42-day program. However, you can only come back for the 2-week Follow-Up if you stayed substance free the whole time.

  • If you have relapsed, just let us know and you can then come back for the 42-days program after 3 months from graduation.

Open Addictions Meetings

  • Tuesdays – NA at 7:00pm
  • Thursdays – “Come as you are” all substance meeting at 7:00pm. This is for anyone struggling with any or all addictions.
  • BIMRC has open to the public meetings, as described above and then the clients also have their own client lead Addictions Meetings.

Todd Halfe

Recovery makes a difference for so many!
Former client Todd Half was unsure what to expect in the beginning of his treatment or if he even needed treatment. Soon after his arrival, this young man began to feel empowered and humbled by all the gifts recovery brought. Todd was able to find balance and peace with in himself and has truly embraced his culture.
